Synopsis "Orion One"

Jane's life was anything but normal, beginning with her birth, when she was cut from her dead mother's womb by a village elder, as her father assisted, at the tail end of a CIA mission in Russia during the early 1960s. On return to the States, the President ordered Jane's father, John "Howser" Howard, to place Jane in foster care until the age of seven, at which time she was then enrolled in Howser's secret paramilitary school, Orion, in Pretoria, South Africa. There, she met highly gifted children and was trained rigorously in Krav Maga, tactical weapons use, and Black Ops military action, and eventually assembled her unit.By the age of seventeen, Jane was one of the top assassins in the world. She led her team, comprised of irreverent-some might say pathological-but equally skilled killers, throughout the scorching heat of Africa and steaming jungles of South America on secret missions for the United States, eventually attaining the rank of General.Now retired, Jane reflects on her life as she mentors her nephew Sam on his entry into the Marines. In this first book of a trilogy, join Jane through a series of flashbacks and lived experiences as she reveals to Sam her now-constant struggle with crippling posttraumatic stress disorder, and solidifies her desire to track down and kill the man who destroyed her team.
