Synopsis "Outside the Circle"

In Part 1: Bullied and Betrayed, Jamie Callahan, an elite level teenage volleyball player, has faced almost daily bullying after an accident kills both her drunk driving mother and a popular classmate. Haunted by visions and nightmares of it, Jamie and her father move from Knoxville to the fictional Merrell, Tennessee, to start over. However, they encounter even more problems in their new environment. It takes a community disaster to change their lives and shape the lives of those around them. Along with a kind of assistance from a town legend, Jamie learns to face the obstacles in her way and achieve acceptance from her classmates. In Part 2: Rescued and Redeemed, Jamie learns of some of the secrets that explain the conflicts she has endured, and eventually she learns the meaning of true friendship. At the same time, her father discovers a conflict at the new business he has joined that has connections to the school disaster. Ultimately, he helps uncover the truth of the cause of the tragic accident while the high school students face the reality of the deaths it caused. As a result, they understand the need to provide an outlet for student concerns and create a student group to address the issues of bullying, lack of acceptance and isolation..
