Synopsis "Parental Supervision"

Dan Mon is nineteen, studying Civil Engineering, running a supernatural problem-solving agency out of his university accommodation, and trying very hard not to involve his parents. This would be easier if his mother did not rule Heaven and his father did not rule Hell. Between lectures, deadlines and a baby dragon called Ferno, Dan deals with ghosts, Hosting mishaps, rival parental spies sharing one desk, and a girlfriend who has started noticing that his explanations do not add up. Then a thirteen-year-old former Protector of Earth reaches him from Hell with a warning: someone has stolen their body and is using it to reach the Before, a place older than Heaven, Hell and the war between them. Now the cosmic problem Dan has spent his life avoiding is heading straight for his ordinary one. To stop it, he may need the very people he has spent nineteen years trying not to involve - and decide how much power anyone should ever be allowed to own.
