¿Por qué PINTAMONOS? "Pintamonos" es una expresión en un principio peyorativa con la que se referían a los pintores mexicanos a principios del Siglo XX, comparándolos con dibujantes de diarios de menor perfil. "Moneros" es el término con el que caricaturistas y dibujantes de ese país se definen hasta el día de hoy -por pintar "monitos" o dibujos sencillos- y la expresión pasó desde el insulto a la apropiación orgullosa del término."

Rodolfo Santullo (1979) is a writer, journalist, comic scriptwriter, and Uruguayan editor born in Mexico. He was awarded the Solano López Prize for the best work written for his graphic novel "Cena con Amigos". In 2009, he shared the First Prize of the JC Onetti Contest with the cartoonist Matías Bergara. In 2018, he won the award for the best writing for the graphic novel "El Escapista".
