Synopsis "Poemed"

This poem book is the first complete work by Charles Wayne Cumbie. He started writing poems when he was 51 years old, with his initial inspiration coming from Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. It was so impressive and so moving that he was inspired to parody the address with the subject matter changed to family instead of soldiers, starting him on his POEMED journey. Inspiration to write comes from everywhere: loved ones, lost ones, dealing with cancer. More than just inspiration is captured in the pages of POEMED: concepts and insights on old age, religion, politics, and more are told with a rhyme cadence and story-poem style telling. Two-hundred and seventy poems span these pages and bring you into the world and unique perspective of POMED.
