Synopsis "Potztausend (in German)"

Der Bürgermeister von Demarchau ist sich sicher, dass ihm eine gemütliche letzte Amtszeit bevorsteht. Leider beschlie t ein Geschäftsmann aus dem Ort, sein Altenheim zum lukrativen Flüchtlingsheim umzufunktionieren. Dummerweise ist eine flüchtlingsfreie Gemeinde genau das, womit der Bürgermeister dieses Jahr im Wahlkampf punkten wollte. Seine ohnehin kränkelnde Autorität gerät ins Wanken, als die Nachbarn Taten von ihm verlangen. Während er sich bemüht, den Umbau zu verhindern und die Anwohner zu beruhigen, verliert er zunehmend die Kontrolle über sein Heimatdorf und sein Leben. Denn der Ort birgt so einige Geheimnisse, die besser im Verborgenen geblieben wären.
