Die Frage nach der Unendlichkeit von Primzahlzwillingen beschäftigt schon seit Jahrhunderten die Mathematiker. Michael Thiel ist es nun gelungen, den Beweis für die Unendlichkeit von Primzahlzwillingen zu erbringen. Nachdem er bereits in zwei Büchern über Primzahlzwillinge das logische Fundament legte, kann er in diesem Buch auf brisante Weise mathematisch untermauern, dass operierende Primzahl-Multiplikatoren nie imstande sind, alle sich in Zyklen wiederholenden Zwillingsstellen mit Produkten zu füllen. Darüber hinausgehend bespricht Thiel weitere offene Fragen in der Primzahlenforschung. Es erwarten den Leser zusätzliche Beweise und Ideen in Bezug zur Gilbreath Vermutung, zur Verteilung von Primzahlen und zur Collatz Vermutung. Obwohl die Collatz Vermutung im mathematischen Diskurs nicht in Zusammenhang mit Primzahlen besprochen wird, erzeugt Thiel einen solchen Kontext und stellt zwei Arten von Zyklen vor, die es mit Ausnahme des Zyklus 1-4-2 nie wieder im Bereich der natürlichen Zahlen geben wird.
