Synopsis "Prior Notice"

A letter threatening the murders of 9 persons is received at the Haverston Police Department. Clues to each victim's identity will be provided, as well as a time frame for each death, but of what use are roughly drawn sketches of ordinary objects or words? And why an exact number?
