Synopsis "Qualitative diagnosis of water for human consumption. Community of Sítio Arraial de Cima Municipality of Missão Velha-CE"

QUALITATIVE DIAGNOSIS OF WATER FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION IN THE COMMUNITY OF SÍTIO ARRAIAL DE CIMA MUNICIPALITY OF MISSÃO VELHA - CE. Water is one of the natural resources of utmost importance for the survival of all animal and plant species, especially for the development of human civilizations. However, its quality has been deteriorating due to contamination from waste and sewage discharges, generating strong impacts on health and quality of life. The objective of this research was to analyze the physical-chemical and microbiological quality of the water from cisterns located in the community of Arraial de Cima, municipality of Missão Velha - CE. Water collection from these wells was carried out from March to May 2016. Samples were collected from five wells, named A1, A2, A3, A4, and A5, every fifteen days. The tests were carried out at the Water and Effluent Analysis Laboratories (LAMAE) and the Water and Effluent Physical-Chemistry Laboratory at the Centec Fatec-Cariri Faculty of Technology. The results showed contamination by bacteria: Total Coliforms and Escherichia Coli.
