Synopsis "Reaching for Sky"

Malice Quinton was raised in a broken home with an alcoholic for a father and an unemployed mother who had an addiction to her pain killers. Malice and his family reside in a small city off the coast of New Jersey. Mali has a well-known group of misfit friends who bared the same problems when it came to their home life. Being misunderstood always engaging in maniacal behavior, Mali and his friends always find entertainment in illegal activity. Johnny Rocko stood proud as the team leader with a younger brother Jacoby always following in his steps. Other peers seemed to steer clear of Mali and his friends during their adolescence. Seeking an escape from his shitty life, Mali comes across Sky Riley on an internet social media network. In between tedious relationships along the way, Mali could only hope for a drastic change from daily abuse that damages him both mentally and physically. Another companion named Trenton later gets Mali a better paying job to help him out financially, but that still wasn't a big enough relief. When his ex-girlfriend Nicki tries coming back into his life she causes not only the return of memories from their dark past but brings trouble more than expect by involving her new mate Charlie Bradford. In time Mali grows tired of the constant hazing from Charlie and his friends so he and his friends create a solution to resolve the matter. After seeking a simple outlet by keeping in touch with Sky, Mali's mind heads in a different direction in the way he wanted her. Will Sky being only five states away in Chicago be enough to rescue Mali before either incarceration or possible death?
