The retina is the light-sensitive innermost layer of tissue in the eyes of vertebrates and certain molluscs. Retinal diseases are the medical conditions affecting any part of the retina. There are many different retinal diseases and the majority of them cause visual symptoms. The use of dietary supplements, intravitreal medicine like corticosteroid or anti-VEGF agents, and vitreoretinal surgery are some of the main modes of treatment for these diseases.
