Synopsis "Seeing Him Through the Cleft"

At fourteen years old, I would come home from school, change out in my best play clothes, and sit next to a really pretty tree we had by the side of our yard and waited. I waited for something good to happened, waited for some friend or relative to come over, waited to hear some good news. Many times I waited till dark and nothing happened. I'd go in the house, get undressed, put on my pajamas, and did it all over again the next day. Even though nothing happened some evenings, I got dressed in my best play clothes and sat by that tree and waited the very next day. At night, I would sit by my bed look out my window and prayed to God, "Will you please let me see some good things happen?" I don't know what I was waiting for at fourteen years of age, only that deep inside something compelled me and drew me to wait for a sign by the tree and petitioned Him by the window at night. Some how, it was put in my spirit to wait for Him in a way that I did not yet comprehend; would He show up? There was an attraction that He put in me for the wait. So through the trees, through the evenings, and through the clefts of time, I waited because the clefts had an attractive spiritual pull to see my Lord, if only in a glimpse.
