Le tabagisme constitue un problème majeur de santé publique à l'échelle mondiale. Le sevrage tabagique pose beaucoup de difficultés avec comme principal risque la rechute.Les objectifs de notre étude étaient d'évaluer la motivation à l'arrêt du tabac chez les tabagiques ayant un proche hospitalisé et d'étudier les particularités de leur tabagisme ainsi que les troubles de l'humeur associés.Nous avons ainsi menée une étude transversale, prospective durant 2 mois chez 70 sujets tabagiques ayant un proche hospitalisé au service de pneumologie. Un questionnaire était délivré évaluant les troubles anxio-depressifs (échelle HAD Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, la dépendance (score de Fagerström) et la motivation à l'arrêt du tabac (Echelle de Q-MAT). Un appel téléphonique était fait à 3 mois pour réévaluer le profil tabagique.
