There are Cultural Keys that are not readily available to other cultures. So, it also is with the First Nations/American Native Culture. Even among those, there are sacred parts of the culture of a tribal entity that are not shared outside of the tribe itself. This fictional story is based on actual traditional aspects of a Puget Sound Salishan tribe’s Naming Ceremony. This story I dedicate to all those whose curiosity has prompted them to seek some of the answers to the culture that existed in America prior to the arrival of those who arrived here after 1491. For curiosity leads to education beyond what each of us knows at the time we become curious about a specific subject. It can be good or bad...I pray for the good.
