Book Two of the Seekers for Truth TrilogyThis supremely playful novel begins with a quote from French philosopher Pierre Teilhard de Chardin intended to turn your world upside down: “We are not human beings on a spiritual journey, we are spiritual beings on a human journey.” And that, strangely enough, sets the tone for everything that follows. Murder. Retribution. Earthly Justice. And, of course, Karma.SOULJOURNER is, after all, a Tale of Karmic Revenge. David Rockwood Worthington is serving a life sentence for the murder of his 3rd wife, and his incarceration is not going well. He is being terrorized by rival gangs who insist he owes them $6 million dollars each—debts of which David claims total ignorance. On top of that, his prison psychologist doesn’t seem to like him very much. The central premise of this novel is that our souls make their eternal journey towards enlightenment in the company of a single unchanging "karmic pod" of companion souls. These spirits take on different roles in our various incarnations. In one life a soul may appear as your mother, in the next your best friend, after that your sworn enemy…and so on, for eternity. The identities of the souls in your "karmic pod" are hidden from you in life. SOULJOURNER seeks to wise you up about one spirit in your karmic pod who might be bent on your destruction. Part metaphysical adventure, part dark comedy, SOULJOURNER follows one man's attempt to make sense of the people, choices, and karmic entanglements that have landed him behind bars—and perhaps discover what evil spirit has been traveling by his side for lifetimes.
