Synopsis "Staff Sergeant Belinda Watt "

Staff Sergeant Belinda Watt starts out as an infantry cook in the Earth-based Galactic Federation.  She resents getting hit on by all the guys because of her spectacular figure.  But when her phenomenal sharpshooting skills are discovered, she is quickly  shifted to sniper and begins ti rack up major competitions. Pretending to present herwith a special medal in his hotel room, General Bloodworthy assaults her. In the struggle, Belinda kills the General. She is exonerated in a court martial but the Guardian Council--a fraternal organization of combat field officers--swears revenge.  To escape theirclutches, Belinda is smuggled off Earth by an intelligence agent--Lt-Col Andrew Jackson Jones--sent to Magnus--a strange planet on the outskirts of the known Universe.His mission is to discover why it's prodigious output of the precious metal Lithium Oxycarbide has fallen so precipitously. Was it a dry hole, or is something more sinister going on?  The two land secretly on Magnus and form a reluctant partnership. They form a bar & trading company hoping to learn what is going on. They are stunned to discover that Magnus is about to be taken over by the Guardian Council, which will then secede from the Galactic Federation--and take it over as well!  Then, the Magnus Guardian Council discovers she is there....
