Synopsis "Störtebecker (in German)"

Klabund: Störtebecker Erstdruck: 1926 Neuausgabe mit einer Biographie des Autors. Herausgegeben von Karl-Maria Guth. Berlin 2017. Umschlaggestaltung von Thomas Schultz-Overhage unter Verwendung des Bildes: Albrecht Dürer, Mann mit Barett, 1521. Gesetzt aus der Minion Pro, 12 pt. Über den Autor: 1890 in Crossen an der Oder als Sohn eines Apothekers geboren, nennt sich Alfred Henschke schon bald Klabund, wohl eine Zusammensetzung aus Klabautermann und Vagabund. Der seit seiner Jugend lungenkranke Autor verbringt zahlreiche und ausgedehnte Kuraufenthalte in der Schweiz und in Italien. Seine erotischen und sozial-kritischen Motive machen sein Werk nicht unumstritten. 1925 erscheint mit dem Kreidekreis sein bekanntestes Drama, das Brecht später für seinen Kaukasischen Kreidekreis zum Vorbild nehmen wird. Am 14. August 1928 erliegt Klabund im Alter von 38 Jahren in Davos seinem Lungenleiden.
