Entre ellas se destaca la que nos muestra al hombre como un ser en comunicación y la lengua como el instrumento privilegiado para hacer esa comunicación posible. A través de la literatura la lengua se convierte además en un hecho estético.
¿Qué pasa cuando el teatro, arte fronterizo donde lo literario es un lenguaje más, y quizá no el fundamental, cuestiona no solo la palabra, sino fundamentalmente la comunicación? Esta ha sido la tarea que buena parte del teatro occidental del siglo XX ha tomado como propia, en especial el llamado teatro del absurdo. Ya a fines del siglo, y en los comienzos del XXI la pregunta vuelve a ser respondida de muchas, pero en el fondo de la misma manera, en el teatro de Alberto Brandi. "
