Arelis Uribe (Santiago de Chile) is a journalist and writer. She has published "Quiltras" (award from the Ministry of Culture of Chile for the Best Short Story Book of the year), the anthology of opinion columns "Que explote todo", and the fanzine "Cosas que pienso mientras fumo marihuana". She was the Communications Director of the feminist organization Observatorio Contra el Acoso Callejero, which promoted the law against sexual harassment in public spaces in Chile. She has been a writing professor at the University of Santiago and the University of Chile. Her stories and chronicles have been recognized in various literary contests in Latin America. She is currently composing songs and studying for a Master's in Creative Writing at New York University.
