Marie NDiaye es una escritora y dramaturga francesa reconocida por sus novelas, cuentos y obras de teatro. Nació el 4 de junio de 1967 en Pithiviers, Francia. Su padre era de origen senegalés y su madre francesa, por lo que desde pequeña estuvo relacionada con diferentes culturas y experiencias familiares.

Comenzó a escribir desde muy joven y publicó su primera novela, Quant au riche avenir, cuando tenía solo 17 años. A partir de ese momento desarrolló una importante carrera literaria y escribió numerosas novelas y obras teatrales. Sus textos suelen explorar temas como la identidad, las relaciones familiares, la discriminación, la soledad y las diferencias sociales.

Una de sus obras más conocidas es Tres mujeres fuertes (Trois femmes puissantes), publicada en 2009. Esta novela recibió el prestigioso Premio Goncourt, convirtiendo a NDiaye en la primera mujer negra en obtener este reconocimiento. La obra presenta las historias de tres mujeres que enfrentan diferentes dificultades y buscan mantener su dignidad y libertad.

Marie NDiaye también ha vivido fuera de Francia y ha continuado desarrollando su carrera literaria internacionalmente. Su estilo se caracteriza por combinar situaciones cotidianas con elementos extraños o misteriosos. Gracias a su trayectoria, es considerada una de las escritoras francesas contemporáneas más importantes.
