Synopsis "The Fenwold Inheritance"

The Fenwold Inheritance is a science fiction novel, written in the style of writers such as John Wyndham and John Christopher. Whilst the story is intended to stand on its own, it may also be read as a sequel to The Fenwold Riddle, published by Fireship Press in 2012 under its Cortero Publishing imprint. Enclosed for eight hundred years behind an impenetrable wall, the citizens of Fenwold finally have a passage through to the world outside. And who better to oversee the settlement of the New Territories than the marshal who discovered the exit by cracking the code of the Fenwold Riddle? Leaving behind famine and unrest in Fenwold, with the technology bequeathed by their ancestors, the hard-working settlers believe they can now look forward to a better future. Twenty years on, all appears to be going to plan. Governor Dominic Bradley continues to direct the growth of the new city and its surrounding farmlands, by carefully exploiting the precious resources left behind by the Ancient Ones.
