Queen Maris has always trusted the currents of Lake Michigan to reveal the truth. But when the Waters begin whispering warnings she cannot decipher, she senses a shift beneath her kingdom-one the lakes themselves seem desperate to hide. Thaleon, emissary of the Atlantic Gate, arrives with an impossible message: the Great Lakes have forgotten part of their own history, and an ancient prison sealed by a long-lost sister is beginning to fail. As cracks spread through the old magic, secrets buried for centuries rise toward the surface. To protect her people, Maris must choose between the traditions she was raised to uphold and the stranger who asks her to question everything she believes. And as the Waters stir, one truth becomes undeniable: Some currents don't just carry the past. They carry the future. The Forgotten Current launches the Chronicles of the Great Lakes, an epic paranormal romance filled with underwater kingdoms, forbidden history, and a love powerful enough to change the tides.
