Synopsis "The Greenhell Girls"

In the decade after World War 11, the Venezuelan coast is plagued by Portuguese slavers who have stumbled on to the chance of a lifetime. Four American girls, cast onto the coast, should be easy prey - or not. Marcelle, weeks away from her nineteenth birthday, is not the helpless schoolgirl appearances would suggest. With an energy she cannot contain, Marcelle has learned to fight, trained by a Filipino master. And she has a mean streak. Lifelong friends, Marcelle, Hanna, Pip and Lydia, struggle to adapt to their new surroundings. Jamison, friend and mentor, will do anything to keep them safe, but quickly realizes these girls have a collective will that cannot be contained. When Lydia is snatched off the beach by the slavers, Marcelle follows. Lydia's captors soon discover that Marcelle will stop at nothing to retrieve her friend, and her skill in the use of edged weapons begins a hard-fought, bloody conflict. Events have been set in motion that will only end when the girls or their enemies are defeated, and for both sides, the definition of defeat is death.
