The Light Bearers - Leah Godwin

Luciana Ansel felt different from the world around her for the first quarter century of her life. When she meets Jasper, she eventually finds out that her difference was understated. As a Light Bearer, Luciana learns about the gifts given to her by Light, and how to wield them. A long history of Light Bearers precedes her - 24,999 individuals’ worth; making her the 25,000th Light Bearer in human history. Light watches as mankind evolves on Earth, turning Light’s most precious creation, the Light Bearer, into a source of entertainment and financial gain at the direction of its adversary - Absolute Darkness. Light finds it all to be abhorrent, and vows to protect Luciana at all costs - even if it means losing its autonomy. Will Luciana’s family choose financial gain over her health and happiness? Will Light find a way to beat Darkness once and for all, after millennia of battling out in the cosmos?
