Synopsis "The Millennium "

Properly understood, the Millennium is not the length of time of the reign of Christ on earth. Rather, it is just that portion of time when the saints of God will join Christ in His eternal rule. A re-reading of the relevant verses in Revelation 20:2-7 makes it clear that the 1,000 years is just the length of time for the saints to join Christ in His rule. The verses did not say that the reign of Christ is only for a total of 1,000 years. As the creator, the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, the Word who is from the beginning - Jesus Christ has actually been reigning from the dawn of time. The Millennium is just a chapter, not the totality, of Christ rule on earth. Avelino Padilla is a pastor-teacher who has ministered extensively in a variety of demanding roles. He studied at the Manila Bible Institute, The Baguio Colleges Foundation, and at the Center for International Christian Ministries in London, U.K. Concurrent with his past role as Senior Pastor of Abundant Life Fellowship, he was also the North Luzon Superintendent of the Philippine Pentecostal Holiness Church, Academic Dean at Baguio Bible Institute, and Administrator of Hope of Baguio Christian Academy. He currently devotes his time to writing and occasionally accepts invitations to speak in churches and conferences. He is also the author of "Armageddon: A Different View."
