Robbing a Turkish Bank in war ravaged Gallipoli of its hoard of gold was not the uppermost thought in the minds of two young Cumbrian farm workers when they joined the army in 1915.Returning from the Great War, via a spell in the trenches of France, they discovered that the seeds of adventure had been firmly planted and that quiet living in a rural backwater held no future for them.After much soul searching they returned to Turkey to retrieve the gold and continue down to Australia to live a free life.They buy two large tracts of forest land - The Stack and Wongon - both massive one million acre estates; they raise families and prosper.Then the dark secret that they left in the Turkish Bank Vault comes back to haunt them and threatens them and their families.This family saga and adventure is full of danger, travel, romance, misplaced love, treachery, greed, infidelity and tribal honor and is based on two true life stories.The Stack is taken from the Film Script "The Stack" by Chelsy Swann.
