Synopsis "The Trip"

Two brothers decide to escape 'civilization' and take a Trip to the South Pacific for a few months to surf and experience stress-free island living. As part of their Trip, the brothers make a huge contribution to improve the quality of life for a small, self-sufficient village community on the island of Rahiti. While on their Trip, world changing events occur back home in the USA. The events of "The Day" change the course of history and the world as we know it. Stranded in tropical paradise far from the chaos in the rest of the world, the two brothers react very differently to being estranged from their family, friends, business life and essentially everything they've ever known. The brothers adapt to island life and learn to appreciate and survive in a society void of money, technology, media and material possessions. The Trip takes crazy twists and turns with tales of cannibals, a mystical island, fire walking, sailing, pirates, and of course - a love story too. The Trip is riddled with action and adventure, but also conveys themes of appreciation and gratitude, strength and determination, reliance on nature and sustainability, love and forgiveness, soul searching and the discovery of the true meaning of life.
