Synopsis "Until the Day Dawns"

The small coastal town, Grand Anse Isle once known as Lafitte Cove, had become the most lauded vacation spot on the coast of Louisiana. For centuries it had been the destination spot for the rich and famous, crème de la crème of New Orleans high society who flocked to its shores to either jumpstart the city's festive carnival season or to usher in the Lenten season with a grand finale ball at the infamous Hotel Mystic owned by the Dumonde family. The Hotel was once the home of the notorious French privateer Jean Lafitte and his creole wife Marise, and is shrouded in a century-old curse. Decades later, Rex Winston's greatgreat granddaughter Raven Winston-Kadell leaves the safety of her family's remote Virginia tobacco farm, a failed marriage, and a legacy that spans generations only to discover her family's secrets are buried deep in the sandy shores of Louisiana when she decides to resurrect the ruins of the Hotel to its original splendor as an event venue, Chateau Chantilly. Raven cannot help but wonder whether the antique gold timepiece she inherited from her father has something to do with her misfortunes and good fortunes as she begins a new life in Grand Anse Isle.
