Dani Pendergast es una ilustradora independiente nacida en Parkland, Florida, actualmente radicada en Boston, Massachusetts. Con formación académica en ilustración —tiene una licenciatura (BFA) y una maestría (MFA) obtenidos en Syracuse University—, ha dedicado su carrera a crear imágenes que exploren historias de identidad y lugares que evocan maravilla o misterio. Su trabajo destaca por su narrativa visual, el uso de colores intensos, soluciones surrealistas y trazos cuidadosos.

Ha colaborado con múltiples clientes reconocidos como Apple, Boom! Studios, Wizards of the Coast, The Boston Globe, NPR, entre otros, participando en proyectos editoriales, cómics, diseño de portadas y exposiciones. Fue la ilustradora principal de la novela gráfica Demon in the Wood, de Leigh Bardugo, ambientada en el universo de Shadow and Bone. También ha creado ilustraciones para otros medios, como arte complementario para Oathbound (Legendborn Cycle), trabajos para podcasts como Tested (NPR & CBC), y varias portadas de cómics para Boom!
