Synopsis "Warheart: Richard and Kahlan 4. The Conclusion of Sword of Truth "

Terry Goodkind's Warheart is the direct sequel to, and the conclusion of, the story begun in The Omen Machine, The Third Kingdom, and Severed Souls. All is lost. Evil will soon consume the D'Haran Empire. Richard Rahl lies on his funeral bier. It is the end of everything. Except what isn't lost is Kahlan Amnell. Following an inner prompting beyond all reason, the last Confessor will wager everything on a final desperate gambit, and in so doing, she will change the world forever.

Terry Goodkind (1948–2020) was an American writer born in Omaha, Nebraska, known for his epic fantasy series The Sword of Truth. Despite suffering from dyslexia, he worked as a carpenter and artist before turning to writing. His first novel, Wizard’s First Rule (1994), marked the beginning of a saga that sold over 25 million copies and was translated into more than 20 languages. The series was adapted into the television show Legend of the Seeker.

Among his most notable works are Stone of Tears (1995), Temple of the Winds (1997), Faith of the Fallen (2000), and Chainfire (2005). He also wrote standalone novels such as The Law of Nines (2009) and Nest (2016). His style is characterized by integrating philosophical elements, particularly from Ayn Rand's objectivism, into epic fantasy plots.
