Edoardo Sanguinetti (Genova, 1930) ocupa un lugar destacadisimo entre las ultimas generaciones de poetas italianos y fue miembro capital de la llamada neovanguardia y del Grupo 63. No es WIRRWARR un simple trabajo experimental. En el toda interpretacion parece facil o caprichosa por ser abstracta y arbitraria. Por encima de su hermetismo exige del lector una interpretacion etica y amargamente emocional. El libro consta de dos partes. La primera, T. A. T. (Texto de Percepcion Tematica), y la segunda, Reisebilder (imagenes de viaje). Un T. A. T. mas algunas Reisebilder producen en WIRRWARR, es decir, un caos, un lodazal, un desorden. este seria el testimonio de un deseperado deambular del autor por Belgica, Holanda y Alemania. Todo es experimento, analisis, intuicion, diseccion meticulosa y fria, busqueda, y siempre con un lenguaje estridente y machacante, acido, amedrentador, provocador, difuso y confuso, deslumbrante, corrosivo y arrollador de toda poetica tradicional.
