Synopsis "Would You Believe: A Life Well Lived"

Would You Believe is the name of my book, but before you read it, I would like to explain what believing, knowing and understanding all mean at least in my mind. Do you believe or have you ever wondered if everything you said or that someone else said was the truth? Would you believe that many things you hear are not necessarily lies, but could be half-truths?No, believing and knowing are not the same. Believing is holding a conviction or acceptance of something as true, even in the absence of concrete evidence. Knowing, on the other hand, involves having factual information or evidence that is true and verifiable."Would you believe" is a common idiom used to introduce a surprising or unbelievable statement or story. It's often followed by a sentence that conveys a sense of amazement or disbelief. The phrase is commonly used in a conversational or narrative context to emphasize the unusual nature of the upcoming information.Understanding is the ability to grasp the meaning, nature, or importance of something. Believing is the acceptance of something as true or real, often without evidence or proof. Understanding and believing can sometimes overlap, but they are not always the same.Belief is necessary but not sufficient for knowledge. We are all sometimes mistaken in what we believe; in other words, while some of our beliefs are true, others are false. As we try to acquire knowledge, then, we are trying to increase our stock of true beliefs (while simultaneously minimizing our false beliefs). It's hard to explain and even understand. Throughout my almost seventy years of life there has always been a nagging thought that someone or something has been tugging at my emotions. I don't know why or when the pull will come but it always seems to bubble up to the surface at times.I constantly question myself and others and wonder if what I say or hear someone else is the truth or not.My short stories in my book are all 100% true and accurate, but it is up to the reader to make the determination whether or not the events all occurred.Would you believe me if I said the stories could be true, or perhaps half true? I will leave that up to the reader to decide in my new book entitled Would You Believe.
