Born in New York in 1977, Gabrielle Zevin has established herself as one of the most versatile and original voices in contemporary literature. A Harvard University graduate with studies in English and American Literature, she has cultivated a career that smoothly transitions between adult fiction and young adult literature, demonstrating an unusual ability to move and connect with readers of all ages. Her most celebrated work, The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry (2014), was an editorial phenomenon: it remained for more than 28 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list, was translated into 35 languages, and was adapted into a movie in 2022 as A. J. Fikry's Little Bookshop. This tribute to books and bookstores earned her the Southern California Independent Booksellers Award and a nomination for the Medici Book Club Prize, securing her place in the international literary scene.

However, Zevin's talent is not limited to adult fiction. Since her beginnings as a film screenwriter, she has developed a close, emotional, and sharp narrative, which is also reflected in her young adult literature. Her novel Elsewhere (2005), a poetic reflection on life after death, was recognized by Publishers Weekly as one of the best books of the year. Later, Young Jane Young (2017) was applauded for its critical and feminist view on politics and public morals. Her most recent title, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow (2022), which explores the world of video games and the complexity of friendship, became her biggest success to date, winning the Goodreads Choice Award and reaching a new global audience. Zevin, whose work has been translated into more than 40 languages, lives in Los Angeles with her partner, composer Hans Van de Burg, and continues to expand her literary universe with each new publication.
