In 1946, he was appointed professor at the University of Paris, where he directed the laboratory of anatomical works. In 1958, he took over the chair of functional anatomy and neuroanatomy, and in 1969 he became dean of the faculty.

Among his most notable works is Pathways and Nervous Centers: Introduction to Neurology (1970), a reference in neuroanatomy. Additionally, he collaborated on the revision of the Treatise on Human Anatomy by Henri Rouvière, a classic work in the study of anatomy.
