Bob Gale
Bob Gale (University City, Missouri, 1951) is an American screenwriter, producer, and comic book writer, famous for co-writing the Back to the Future trilogy (1985, 1989, 1990) with Robert Zemeckis, considered a milestone in science fiction and comedy cinema. His work on the first installment earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay in 1986. Gale also participated in films like 1941 (1979), Used Cars (1980), and Interstate 60 (2002), the latter as director. In the comic realm, he has written for series such as Daredevil (2001) and The Amazing Spider-Man (2008) for Marvel, as well as for Batman: No Man’s Land (1999) in DC Comics.

In addition to his work in film and comics, Gale has been an advocate for preserving the integrity of Back to the Future, rejecting proposals for a fourth installment and focusing on projects like Back to the Future: The Musical (2020), a theatrical adaptation of the saga. His creative approach combines elements of science fiction with humor and social critique, consolidating him as an influential figure in contemporary popular culture.
