Bridget Crone
Bridget Crone (1973–2023) was a curator, writer, and professor in Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths, University of London. She specialized in the intersections between theory, artistic practice, and material ecologies, exploring how bodies, images, and environments interact in contemporary art. She co-authored and edited the key work Fieldwork for Future Ecologies: Radical Practice for Art and Art-Based Research (Onomatopee, 2022, reprinted 2025), an interdisciplinary volume that brings together art, theory, and experimental methodologies to rethink the fieldwork in climate and environmental contexts.

This book, in the genre of art criticism and ecological theory, includes contributions from artists, writers, and theorists, and serves both as a manual and philosophical reflection on radical practices oriented towards climate and environment. No literary awards are known to be associated with it, but it has had a considerable impact in international academic and artistic circles. According to sources, this appears to be her main work either solo or as a co-editor, consolidating her intellectual and academic legacy.
