Cecilia Toro
Cecilia Toro is a Chilean artist specialized in stop motion animation, illustration, and art direction, with over 15 years of experience in creating content for children. She is the founder of the studio Plastivida and has participated in more than ten animated productions in Chile. She stands out for her work as the general producer of the short film Bestia (2021), nominated for an Oscar and awarded at multiple international festivals. Additionally, she co-created the short film Cantar con sentido (2017), an animated biography of Violeta Parra.
In the publishing field, Toro is the author of the graphic novel Calfucoy (2022), published by Ocholibros, which received the Best Children's Edition Award from the Chilean Book Chamber and the 2023 Graphic Narrative Award from the Ministry of Cultures of Chile. She also illustrated the picture book Fresia Libre (2014), in collaboration with Sofía Otero, a notable work in Chilean children's literature.
