Chris Perez
Christopher Gilbert Pérez, known as Chris Pérez, is an American guitarist, songwriter, and author born on August 14, 1969, in San Antonio, Texas. He gained fame as the lead guitarist of the Tejano band Selena y Los Dinos, where he met singer Selena Quintanilla, whom he married in 1992. After the tragic death of Selena in 1995, Pérez continued his music career and formed the Chris Pérez Band, whose album Resurrection won a Grammy Award in 2000.
In 2012, Pérez published the book To Selena, With Love, an emotional biography recounting his love story with the singer, from their beginnings to their tragic end. The work offers an intimate look at their relationship and has been well received by critics and readers. In addition to his literary side, Pérez has been involved in various musical projects and continues to pay tribute to Selena through his social media and public performances.
