Faber Burgos
Faber David Burgos Sarmiento is an influencer, science communicator, speaker, and occasional Colombian actor, known for combining creativity and science in innovative projects. In 2020, he made history as the first Colombian to send a selfie to the stratosphere using a homemade weather balloon experiment, capturing both the sun and the moon simultaneously. In 2021, he set a Guinness record by publishing the most viewed video on this topic on the Facebook Creators platform
That same year, he conducted a second experiment, becoming the first Colombian to reproduce a sound in the stratosphere of his country by sending an audio over 30,000 meters, an achievement reached in the department of Boyacá. In 2023, he published his book The Faber Laboratory, where he combines anecdotes from his experiments with scientific concepts explained in a simple and fun way.
