Fabián Martínez Siccardi
Fabián Martínez Siccardi (Río Gallegos, 1964) is an Argentine writer whose work is nourished by the geography and history of Patagonia. He spent his childhood summering at his grandparents' ranch by Lake Cardiel, an experience that deeply marked his narrative. He has lived in various cities in Argentina, the United States, and Spain, and currently resides in Buenos Aires, where he works as a writer and translator. His novel Bestias afuera (2013) was awarded the Clarín Novel Prize, consolidating his recognition in contemporary Argentine literature.

Among his most notable works are Patagonia iluminada (2012), Perdidas en la noche (2017), Los hombres más altos (2021), and Margot en el lago Cardiel (2023). Additionally, he has written autobiographical essays such as Patagonian Fox (2018) and Feeling Southern (2019), in which he explores his connection with the Patagonian plateau and indigenous peoples. His literature, focused on fiction narrative and essay, has been translated into several languages, including French, Italian, Portuguese, and Czech.
