Farid Kahhat
Farid Kahhat (Lima, 1959) is a Peruvian sociologist, political scientist, and internationalist of Palestinian origin. He holds a degree in Sociology from PUCP and earned his PhD in Government at the University of Texas, Austin. He serves as a professor of International Relations at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and at the Diplomatic Academy of Peru, and is a columnist for media outlets such as El Comercio and América Economía, as well as a commentator on CNN en Español and host of the podcast International Scene-

Among his most notable works are: The Eternal Return: The Radical Right in the Contemporary World (2019, essay), International Security: A Critical Introduction (2019, essay), Pandemics, Dragons and Living Dead: Political Science in Unexpected Places (2021, co-authored with Gabriela Camacho), Violent Times: Russia, Ukraine, China, the United States and the New World Disorder (2022, co-authored with Clemente Rodríguez), and Against the Phantom Threat: The Radical Right in Latin America and the Reinvention of a Common Enemy (2024, essay). These works belong to the genre of political analysis and contemporary history. No literary awards are associated with them.
