Gustavo Gorriti
Gustavo Andrés Gorriti Ellenbogen (San Isidro, February 4, 1948) is a Peruvian journalist, columnist, and writer known for his reports on subversive groups, government corruption, and drug trafficking. In 2011, the European Journalism Centre described him as "the most awarded Peruvian journalist." He is the founder of the digital portal IDL-Reporteros.
Gorriti collaborated, through IDL-Reporteros, in the investigation of the Odebrecht (Lava Jato) and Los Cuellos Blancos del Puerto (Lava Juez) cases, which have involved several Peruvian politicians and officials. In 2024, several international media claimed that the journalist is the victim of a smear campaign by members of the Peruvian right. In addition to this, the activity of the newspaper Expreso stands out, which dedicated several pages against him throughout the year.
