Joy Laforme
Joy Laforme is an American illustrator and designer specialized in digital art and mixed techniques, with an aesthetic influenced by American folklore, Fauvism, and vintage animation. Originally from the Hudson Valley, New York, and currently based in New Jersey, she earned a Master's in Graphic and Interactive Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her work ranges from book covers and stationery to textiles and galleries, collaborating with brands like Galison, Barnes & Noble, and Trader Joe’s.
Among her most recognized works are the puzzles Autumn in the Neighborhood (2021) and Spring Terrace (2024), both published by Galison. She is also the author of the illustrated book Folk Art Fusion: Americana (2018), where she teaches how to create folk art with a modern approach. Her style, characterized by vibrant colors and nostalgic textures, has been featured in media such as HGTV Magazine and Good Morning America. Although she has not yet received formal awards, her work has gained popularity for evoking a sense of warmth and serenity in the audience.
