Liu Cixin

He is the most prolific and popular science fiction author in the People's Republic of China. He has been awarded the Galaxy Award and the Chinese Nebula eight times. His "Three-Body Trilogy" sold a million copies just in China and sparked unanimous interest throughout the West. His huge success is now repeated in all international markets. He is one of the great literary sensations of recent years. Before becoming a writer, Liu worked as an engineer at a power plant in the Chinese city of Yangquan, in Shanxi province, now temporarily closed due to air pollution.
