Louis Pauwels
Louis Pauwels (1920-1997) was a French writer and journalist, known for his interest in esotericism, science fiction, and mystery literature. His most influential work is The Return of the Sorcerers (1960), co-authored with Jacques Bergier, where he explores occult theories and forbidden knowledge, influencing counterculture and studies on the paranormal.

Among his other works are The Rebellion of the Sorcerers (1971), Monsieur Gurdjieff (1973), and Tomorrow's History Begins (1977). His texts mix scientific dissemination, esotericism, and alternative history, with a critical and provocative perspective. Pauwels also directed the magazine Planète, focused on heterodox thinking and new paradigms. His legacy remains alive in esoteric and unexplained literature.
