Louise Cooper (May 29, 1952 – October 21, 2009) was a prolific British writer of fantasy literature, known for her ability to create complex worlds and deep characters. Born in Hertfordshire, England, she showed a passion for writing from a young age, starting to draft stories for her friends at school. At 15, she left school to pursue her literary vocation. She was an active member of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, a charity dedicated to sea rescue
