Lucia Sesma

Lucía Sesma (Segovia, 1980) holds a degree in Hispanic Philology from the Complutense University of Madrid, studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, and trained in editing and translation. She has worked as an editor, proofreader, and translator for various publishing houses and as a professor of contemporary literature and creative writing at St. Benedict and St. John's University in Minnesota. She curated the selection of Spanish-language books for the historic Librairie des Colonnes in Tangier. She devised and coordinated the essay on new translators "Hijos de Babel" (2013). Currently, she writes about language for "Muy interesante" and has been the linguist for the popular TV show "Pasapalabra" since 2011.
