Miguel Angel Zabalza
Miguel Ángel Zabalza Beraza (Pamplona, 1949) is a prominent Spanish educator and psychologist, known for his influence in university didactics and teacher training. He holds a PhD in Psychology and a degree in Pedagogy, and is currently a professor of Didactics and School Organization at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC)

Throughout his career, Zabalza has held various teaching and management roles at several Spanish universities, including the Complutense University of Madrid, the Pontifical University of Comillas, and the UNED. His work has focused on the research and development of teaching, especially in higher education, and he has collaborated with numerous European and American universities

He is the author of several books and articles on education, among which Didactics of Early Childhood Education (1987), Teaching Competencies of University Faculty (2010), and University Teaching: The Scenario and its Protagonists (2007) stand out. These works address issues such as teacher training, educational curriculum, and quality in teaching

In addition to his academic work, Zabalza has been president of the Ibero-American Association of University Didactics and has received international recognition for his contribution to education, such as The Spirit of ICED Award

His pedagogical approach emphasizes the importance of critical reflection on teaching practice and the need to adapt teaching to current social and cultural demands.
