Oscar Villan
Óscar Villán (Valladolid, 1972) is a prominent Galician illustrator and painter known for his contribution to children's literature. Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Pontevedra, he has developed a prolific career in which he combines illustration with sculpture, photography, and poster design.

His most famous work is The Little White Rabbit, which earned him the First National Illustration Award in 1999. Throughout his career, he has illustrated numerous books, highlighting titles such as La cebra Camila, Animales de compañía, and Canta con nosotros. Libro disco de Migallas, the latter awarded the Gala do Libro Galego Prize in 2017.

In Un bicho extraño, illustrated by Villán and written by Mon Daporta, a playful and visually attractive story is presented that invites the little ones to discover the identity of a mysterious being. The work stands out for its interactive format and creative approach, features that have consolidated Villán as a key figure in contemporary children's literature.
