Pedro Simón
Pedro Simón (Madrid, 1971) is a journalist for the newspaper El Mundo and has won a dozen awards for his articles. Among them, the Ortega y Gasset Award 2015 in the Printed Journalism category for his series of reports La España del despilfarro and the Award for Best Journalist of the Year from the APM in 2016. In 2020, he was a finalist for the international awards of the Gabo Foundation. In 2021, he won the King of Spain Journalism Award.

He is the author of a dozen books among which his novels Peligro de derrumbe, Los ingratos (Primavera Novel Award 2021) and Los incomprendidos stand out. He has also published the reportage anthologies Siniestro total, Crónicas bárbaras, and Las malas notas and the essay Memorias del alzhéimer. He is one of the authors, along with Eduardo Madina, Javier Gómez Santander, and Antonio Lucas, of Perder la gracia, a generational chronicle in four voices published by Alfaguara.
